Manufactured 1915. During the time of manufacture, these hand-fitted and polished flat top target Colts were the most expensive gun in the Colt catalog. These were beautifully built behemoth revolvers. The English rules did not allow adjustable sights so this revolver has the high Patridge front sight and wind-drift only rear sight. Features include fully hand checkered grip straps, high polish royal blue finish, fully checkered trigger, checkered hammer spur, and stunning Colt medallion hand checkered Fleur-de-Lis walnut grips. Basic wear on this gun consists of high edge and muzzle wear throughout but still retains fully 85-90% of the factory original high polish blue finish with fire blue screws, trigger and hammer. Indexes and locks up like new. Brilliant bore. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
