Manufactured by Deutsche Waffen Und Munitionsfabriken Co. Sold to the United States military for the 1907 test trials. This is known as the 1900 test Eagle Luger. Features include; round barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, V notch rear sight on rear link, thumb safety is unmarked, extractor is the early style, center toggle link marked "DWM" in script. Wide grip safety without a stock lug. It has the early style flat main spring. Gun has been professionally restored and retains approximately 95% of the no-original applied rust blue finish with strawed small parts. Our military bought 1000 of these guns for the test trials of 1907. Accepted serial range for a test eagle is 6100-7100. They were issued to different units for testing. Our militaries biggest complaint was the caliber being too small. After the testing Bannerman sold these. It was finally decided to accept Colts 1911 for a military side arm. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
