Gun retains 70% blue overall with a few minor areas of light pitting. All markings are clear. Good British military proofs. These guns were adopted by the Royal Navy in 1912 as the first automatic pistol in British service, also adopted by the Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Flying Corps. This gun features the British Royal Navy "N" mark just after the model designation on the left side of the slide. Dated 1913. This gun by serial number falls into the first contract for the Navy of 2,500 pistols in April - December of 1913. Proper magazine. Grips are fine with some dings and handling marks. Fine mechanical function, although gun is packed with cosmoline so action is sluggish. Not import marked. Bore is fine with sharp rifling.
