Manufactured by Deutsche Waffen Und Munitionsfabriken Co. for the Imperial German military. This is known as the 1914 artillery luger with a chamber date of 1917. Features include; round barrel with dovetailed inverted V fine tune front sight, nine position adjustable fine tune rear sight at rear of barrel, thumb safety marked "Gesichert" in the upper position, extractor marked "Geladen", center toggle link marked "DWM" in script. Gun retains approximately 95% of the original factory applied rust blue finish with strawed small parts. An all matching number gun except the magazine. Wood bottom magazine is numbered 620n. Checkered walnut grips with crisp checkering. Strong bore that shows some wear. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
