Comprising: A) Model 1873 Spingfield Trapdoor Musket. Very good markings throughout and a shiny bore. Dated 1889 cartouche is clear, markings excellent throughout. Most components retain a light grey patina, breech has traces of case colors and stamped "S NOWELL". Stock shows scattered marks from use. Complete with triangular socket bayonet, retaining ring missing screw. A very nice trapdoor with scarce star serial number, would make a great shooter. B) Percussion half stock target rifle with heavy octagonal barrel stamped with large "JM", contemporary replaced sights. Back action "Ashmore" lock with stamp decorated designs. Brass two piece patchbox, buttplate, and triggerguard. Walnut halfstock with five silver inlays and silver end cap. Double set triggers and complete with replaced ramrod. Good condition, steel components show some scattered marks and have a freckled brown patina. Barrel has holes drilled on top flat for a mount, lock functional, rear screw replaced. Stock has some minor cracks and scattered marks from use. Bore has deep rifling with some minor freckling.
