Manufactured on the tail end of production in 1920. Built on the New Service frame with military specifications. Stamped "US ARMY MODEL 1917" on butt and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY UNDER BARREL". Has Colt inspector eagle on left side with pony.This revolver has seen little use with 98% original arsenal applied blued finish. Backstrap has thinned to a blue-brown homogenous patina. Excellent grips. Fine bore and action. Near new inside and out. One of the nicer 1917 Army's around. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
