A brand new factory was built is Herstal-Leige in 1907-08 to build the Bergmann-Bayard pistol. It is a licensed copy of the famous Bergmann. Left side of the slide is stamped "BREVETE S.G.D.G." as well as "ANCIENS ETABLISSEMENTS PIEPER HERSTAL-LIEGE BERGMANNS PATENT" and also "M. 19 10/21". This lovely licensed copy features a blued finish with fire blued extractor and walnut grips. Retains fully 97% original finish with a hint of high edge wear. Grips are smooth walnut. 50% fire blue on extractor. Grips are excellent to near mint. Near mint bore. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection. CORRECTION: All matching numbers including grips. Serial No. 11739.
