The hand finished lock work on the Officer's Model was the basis of the Colt Python action. Each gun was hand fitted and hand polished and were some of the most expensive revolvers in the Colt line-up. Features blued finish, six shot, double action, high adjustable front sight, target adjustable rear sight, flat top, full checkered trigger and backstrap, and silver medallion checkered walnut grips. There is light wear at the muzzle with some thinning up the sides of the barrel, as well as approximately 30% bluing loss on cylinder, especially on high points. Strap retain all of their original finish. A few spots of light wear on trigger guard. We would rate this revolver overall at 85-90%. Grips are near mint. Fine bore and action. Beautiful hand-tuned pre-war Colt target revolver. Top of the line. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
