Serial No. 21580 letters as a 2-1/2" revolver with nickel finish and rubber grips sent to B. Kittredge & Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 7th, 1880 in a 50 gun shipment. The etched panel on this revolver is as brilliant as the day the gun was made. Screws retain generous amounts of Nitre fire blue, as does trigger and hammer. Grips are near mint with a bit of thinning of checkering at base. Overall, the gun does show some high edge wear and some blending of grey patina on sides of frame. We would have to rate this gun at 90% original factory nickel with some light carry use and no cylinder burn. Fine bore and action. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
