Features full octagon barrel, half magazine, beaded front sight, case colored forearm cap, case colored receiver with blue nitre loading gate, case colored hammer and lever with blued trigger. Comes with a correct and period tang sight. Comes equipped with fancy high grade American walnut stock. Buttplate is case colored with a toe down buttplate. Standard 'H' style checkering with an black ebony insert on the pistol grip. Forend checkering matches the style of the stock. This is a First Model '86 with square corners on the receiver where the stock fits the receiver. Octagon barrel is 95-96% original blue with some light discoloration on the top flat of barrel. Forearm cap retains 80-85% case color, bright colors but not vivid. Left side of receiver the case colors are vivid as is the right side, the loading gate with its nitre blue is 90% with a slight discoloration in the flute. Hammer retains 98% colors. Lever is 90% case colors with the bottom portion of lever turning silver. The high grade American walnut stock has a few impressions and very few light scratches on the left side. The right side is with a few compressions and light scratches, a small chip about 1/2" to 9-16" l missing from the right side where the tang and receiver meet. No bruise marks on the checkering to indicate hard use and no bruise marks on the stock. Stock finish when observed under high intensity light has evidence of finish starting to lift from wood. This is a common occurrence of original early piano varnish finishes. Lower tang is marked with a No. 386 assembly line number and XX to indicate grade of wood, also the assembly line number is in the chamber of stock and butt. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
