Round barrel with a build up ramp front sight and a flat top sporting rear sight. Barrel and receiver are Winchester proof marked. Comes with a five shot magazine which is one cartridge longer than a half magazine. Blued forend cap, blued receiver and deluxe wood. Lower tang marked with single digit "6", also located on toe of buttplate and on back of stock itself. "H" style checkering with pistol grip cap. Blued shotgun buttplate. Blued hammer, lever and trigger. A very late production Model 1894 with which looks to be a Model 55 stock, in a deluxe grade, but is also numbered to the gun. Very good as completely restored. Round barrel retains 99% of restored blue. "NICKLE STEEL BARREL / ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER" stamped on barrel and two line Winchester address is up further on barrel. Forend cap rates 98% blue condition. Left side of receiver is 98-99%; right side is 98-99% as well. Loading gate a dark blue which shows 98-99%. Blued hammer, shows drag line on left side but retains 95% of its blue. Lever is also 90-95% blue, as is the lever link which retains 98% blue. Stock on left side shows one impression on center of lower portion of stock. Checkering is unblemished with no bruise marks. Wood to metal fit is very fine with no chips or splinters missing and no cracks. Left side, very few surface scratches and only one portion of the finish missing in center lower portion of stock. Right side very light surfaces scratches, few compressions with pistol grip cap in place reading "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS COMPANY". Shotgun buttplate fits very fine and retains 95-96% restored blue. Bore is bright and shiny; cycles properly. Mechanics are fine. From the Ray Bentley Collection. CORRECTION: It has come to our attention that this rifle is possibly professionally restored or a factory refinish but is so good that it can not be determined.
