The black grip carved in characteristic Scottish fashion in rope design and knots. The plain fullered 11" single edged blade is notched on back, silver mounts are all hallmarked with maker's marks. The knife and fork are present. Pommels are set with faceted glass carngorm en suite with by knife and fork. CONDITION: Blade is in excellent condition, retaining most of its original bright polish, silver is crisp, relief cast and chased with dragon's and boar's head as well as Latin mottos. No significant dents. Grip is excellent and scabbard leather is age cracked but intact. This lovely dirk is cased in its original Morocco leather covered case with silk lining and Kirkwood gilt stamped label. Leather on box is fragmentary, exposing much of the wooden frame.
