Very pretty, 14" closed mouth doll, of German manufacture, incised "5" on back of head. She has the so-called Belton style arrangement with a solid dome head, flat on top with two holes allowing stringing material to attach the head to the fully articulated German wood and composition body with straight wrists. The body retains most of the original finish, is original to the head, and has a thin somewhat elongated style appearance. The threaded blue glass eyes are quite lovey, with a French style look, and the mouth is closed, with the lips slightly parted and a slight white line in between. She has been re-costumed in all old fabric, with a mauve silk dress and fancy lace trim at color, dropped waist, and sleeves. The wig is a slightly newer but very nice blond human hair, with long curls, and the shoes are antique black paper with brass buckles. Has very faint slight red firing mark on right cheek alongside ear, but insignificant but needs to be noted.
