23 - 1/2" example of the ever popular "Mein Liebling" character doll, incised on back of hear "A & (with star) R 117 58". Has exceptionally nice quality bisque and facial modeling, with protruding upper lip with pouty expression. She has brown glass eyes, which have been reset in a stationary position and has very nicely painted eyelashes, feather multi stroke eyebrows and mounted to a fully articulated German wood and composition body with original patina. The body, although German and of the same age as the doll, is not of the style normally associated with a Kammer & Reinhardt doll, although well-proportioned. At some point she has been re-costumed in a 1910 style German pleated plaid cotton dress with wide sailor type collar and a matching straw hat with silk ribbons and other material matching the dress. Shoes are very nice brown leather, of a more modern vintage.
