17 - 1/2" tall Parisian doll with one piece head and shoulder of pale bisque with well complimented rose cheeks, blue glass inset eyes, closed mouth with well defined, molded, and lightly shaded mouth, nice lashes and browns, pierced in earlobes, on an all leather body with individually stitched fingers and slight bends at elbows, knees, and hip, but not full gusset joint that allow for more positioning. Some old repairs on lower legs in bandage style. Although unmarked, she is attributed to Barrois. She wears a well-made dark navy blue cotton pleated dress with lace overlay, scalloped fringe trim, and lace collar. The wig is antique brown mohair and the shoes are nice black side button leather; however, they are newer than the doll. Completing her outfit is a nice woven bonnet with cloth flowers. A very pretty doll, made quite early, circa late 1870's.
Item Dimensions: 17 - 1/2" T.
