This interesting, most inventive, and rarely found toy is an 11" man with French Papier mache head with painted eyes, with wooden hands standing on a 2 - 1/2" tall wooden box, painted in a salmon milk paint. Front and floor lithographed. Man wears a blue velvet costume and apparently is a street performer, holding in his hand a Polichinelle with head of similar material and wooden arms and legs. In the base, one pulls a string and the man lifts his right hand up, which also raises the right arm and leg of the toy he is holding in his hand. Overall condition is very good, however, the costumes are frail, especially that of the taller figure.
Item Dimensions: 14" T.
