Both dolls are of a slimier mold, and although both are simply marked "Made in Germany" and their size numbers, neither one is marked "143". Although it is obvious that these have identical faces to the 143 molds. It is thought that even though this model continued in later times as a 143, the earlier ones were not marked as such, but their characteristics are identical. The larger doll is 19" tall, and has blue glass sleep eyes and an open mouth with two upper teeth. The smaller, 12", is in blue and has the same characteristics with blue sleep eyes. The bodies on both are very nice with original finish. The larger doll is somewhat loosely strung and could use a re-stringing.
