This 15" doll has a closed mouth socket head, incised in rear "XI" with heavy painted eyebrows, finely painted eyelashes, brown glass sleep eyes with additional hair of silk eyelashes, very pouty mouth, head with very rosy complexion, but even painting. She is on a somewhat foreshortened, re-painted body with straight wrists, however, a toddler type torso with fully jointed legs, and diagonal hip joints. The costume is a very nice dark burgundy wool, below the knee dress, with pleated silk center panel, and lace trimmed sleeves. The underwear, stockings, and shoes are also all antique. The brown human hair wig is slightly later, but nonetheless, good quality.
