Gun (A) is an Anschutz Model Match 54 single shot with heavy barrel, Match II stage trigger, stippled walnut stock and forearm, aluminum rail, adjustable buttplate, adjustable comb, three scope blocks. Frame is grooved for scope. No sights. Near new condition inside and out with some minor storage wear on stock. The basis for gun (B) was a World War II Remington Model 03A3 sniper action taken from an A4 sniper rifle. Barrel is dated "1-44 RA" with bomb. No provision for rear barrel sight. Front sight has been replaced with a wraparound high hooded front sight with interchangeable discs. The rear sight is a Lyman 48 mounted on rear bridge. Barreled action still retains 95% of its original parkerized finish with some usual external storage marks. Custom walnut stock was built in a bench wide forearm style format with pistol grip, black composite buttplate and no checkering. The floorplate is a surplus blued pressed steel World War II type. The bolt is an original scooped out 03 sniper cut. Rear sight does not allow for measuring throat erosion reading. ME reading: 0. Stock is excellent with a few dings. Would probably be a very good shooter as is but could also be reconverted back to an A4 sniper rifle if you so choose. Lot includes a hard case that has a boxed Swain standard trigger assembly, two adjustable aluminum target buttplates, sniper scope rubber eye piece, removable sling assembly, palm swell and some instructions for the adjusting of the Anschutz trigger.
