Manufactured 1926. All small checkered parts are Colt to include short trigger, short wide spur hammer, slide stop and safety, and arched mainspring housing with loop. Blued Colt barrel is stamped "COLT .45 AUTO" at base of chamber above lug. Features blued finish that is mixing with patina overall. Sports a pair of Colt fully checkered walnut grips. Pre-war two tone temper line magazine. Slide is serial numbered to match frame. Fine bore and action. Early 1911A1 with razor sharp legends that looks like it sat in a holster. Colt Factory letter states that serial No. C149231 was shipped as a standard blue Model 1911 to Weed & Company of Buffalo, New York on September 30th, 1926 in a two gun shipment.
