A first rate example of a Steiner Bebe, circa 1880-1890`s period. The quality of the bisque head is exceptional, uniform lighter brown eye brows, blue paperweight eyes, well defined ears and an expressive lighter colored lips add to this Bebe`s overall appeal. The bisque head is fully marked, J. Steiner Fre A 9, and is on a straight wristed composition Steiner body which retains its beautiful original finish(some wear at knee joints on lower thighs). Dressed in a replica pink & lace outfit with several layers of period/original undergarments, original pink leather shoes w/French store label on leather soles and quite possibly her original blonde French knotted mohair wig. Overall a nice package ready for display with no apologies to this French child!
