Manufactured 1933. Slide is numbered but does not match frame (166608). This Commercial Colt was made for the Argentine contract. Left side of slide has the typical Colt stamp with the addition of "POLICIA DE LA CAPITAL". Top of the slide is stamped "747" which would have been the Capital Police inventory number. All other stampings are typical Colt. All small checkered parts are Colt to include short trigger, short wide spur hammer and arched mainspring housing with loop. Blued Colt barrel is stamped "COLT .45 AUTO" as base of chamber above lug. Features a matte blue military arsenal refinish. Sports a pair of Keyes type grips. Retains approximately 85% of the arsenal refinish. Fine bore and action. This is an interesting Colt made Commercial Model shipped to Argentina made specifically for their police department and so marked.
