J & E Stevens Co., circa 1880. Insert a coin in the slot at the top of the bank and lift the lever. The coin falls into the bank as the dog opens his mouth and barks (internal bellows operated squeaker). Release the lever and the dog closes his mouth. When the deposits are made the watchdog barks.
