Lightweight barrel is fitted with quarter rib holding two folding leaf rear sight and with dovetails for scope mounting. A stippled front ramp with knurled sight protector has silver bead. Top of barrel is engraved "Paul Jaeger - Jenkintown, PA". Ruger No. 1 action with tang safety has coin finished side panels added. Action, breech end of barrel, and quarter rib are engraved with 80% coverage well cut varying sized scroll. Side panels have this small scroll surrounding central device of large foliate scroll holding basket of roses. This well done work appears to be unsigned. Very fine black streaked and nicely fiddle figured European walnut skeleton steel capped pistol grip buttstock measures 13-1/2" over skeleton steel buttplate. Stock is classically styled with shadow line swept right hand cheekpiece, shadow line checkered side panels, and borderless point pattern checkering at grip. Matching one piece forend with schnabeled tip extends to muzzle. Leupold Vari - X II 2 X 7 scope with duplex reticle is in QD rings engraved to match barrel and action. Weight with scope: 7 lbs. 14 oz. Excellent condition, retaining essentially all original custom finishes to wood and metal, with only a few of the faintest handling marks. Bore is excellent.
