One of the best and most stream-lined lever action rifles ever manufactured and none are as pretty as these early Perch Belly high polish examples. Features full round barrel, Rocky Mountain front sight, blued finish, deluxe checkered walnut forend with Schnabel, takedown, brass cartridge counter, Lyman tang sight, deluxe wood pistol grip checkered wrap around stock, checkered side panels, case colored lever and a Savage black composite buttplate. The stock has extra grade wood, finely grained, straight comb, piano finish deluxe checkering on both side panels and wrap around pistol grips. Has the Perch Belly profile lower stock. Frame has the high polish royal blue finish with some freckling and thinning at base, but bright as new on top and sides. Barrel retains 90% original factory blue with a few storage dings. Brilliant case colors on both sides of hammer. Stocks are near mint. Strong rifled bore and like new action. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
