This is just a standard Model 1889 with lots of condition. The octagon barrel and tube retain 95% or better of their original factory blue finish with razor sharp edges and legends. Forend cap retains 75% of the high polish blue. Frame retains 85-90% of the high polish royal blue finish. Generous amounts of case colors on lever and hammer. Walnut stocks are excellent to near mint with a couple of minor impressions. Traces of case colors still on buttplate. Standard features include full octagon barrel, full magazine, Rocky Mountain front sight, sporting rear sight and tang sight. Action and bore are like new. This model was only cataloged from 1889 to 1899 and was the first solid-top Marlin lever action rifle. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
