(A) WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE.

Manufactured in 1890, this Winchester has a fully octagonal barrel, a modified horn front sight and replaced rear ramp sight. It has a full length tube magazine and plain walnut two piece stock with rifle butt. The rifle is in fair condition showing heavy use and mottled gray and brown patina. Stock has scattered marks from use overall. Action functions well, and bore has strong lands and groves, with strong black power corrosion. The initials "JD" on appear on the left side of the action done in punched dots. A very nice honest 1886.
