The Merrythought Company of England produced a series of "Marvelous Cats" during the late 1930's. These felines were meant to project realism and were characterized by inset mesmerizing eyes. This cat example is 12" long, apricot in color and in possession of a foot tag that establishes production prior to 1940. The cat is stuffed with excelsior and kapok.
Condition: (Very Good).
