Offered is a fine factory engraved Webley & Scott six shot, double action pocket revolver beautiful factory engraved. Appears to be a Webley No. 2, a very rarely seen revolver with square butt grip, as most were bird's head grips. Marked "W&S" with winged bullet on right side of frame. 90% brilliant factory blue on cylinder. 50% brilliant blue on barrel, balance flaking. 70% blue on trigger guard and metal butt. Traces of blue on engraved backstrap. Near mint checkered walnut grips. A near identical revolver can be found on pages 194 to 197 in the book "Webley Solid Frame Revolvers: Bulldogs & Pugs". Retailer marked on top of frame "E.M. REILLY CO. 315 OXFORD ST. LONDON". Comes in an original oak case with dealer label in lid with E.M. Reilly cap tin, small oil bottle and small cleaning rod with jag. Beautiful item for the collector of small bulldog type revolvers. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
