Offered is a nice, early so-called High Polish Model 1903 famed for its Colt royal blue finish with Nitre blue small screws and rounded case colored hammer with Colt logo black composite grips. Magazine base is high polish blue with no stamp. This gun has nearly all of the fire blue on the frame screws and sides of trigger. Overall gun shows wear on all the high slide edges and muzzle with some age freckling on straps; would rate approximately 85% original finish. Fine bore and action. Comes in a Colt style period oak case lined in blue with an unmarked glass oil bottle, unmarked period wood handle turn screw and a brass cleaning rod. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
