Half round, half octagon barrel, with semi-buckhorn rear sight and mounted with Winchester A5 scope in screwed-on dovetail mounts, is unmarked as to maker or caliber. Case hardened small action is also unmarked with no patent dates or serial number. Hammer and block are blued. Lightly figured American walnut buttstock has case hardened steel buttplate and well cut checkering at grip. Matching forend with inlet hard rubber Schnabeled tip, screws to barrel. Excellent condition. Barrel retains over 90% original blue with high edge wear and some marks. Action has approximately 90% original color; thinning on tangs. Stocks retain most of their varnish finish, checkering lightly worn. Buttplate retains most of its color. Buttstock has been repaired with large crack running from rear of top tang around to grip on right side. Repair appears to be strong. Scope is excellent, optically clear. Bore is very fine to excellent, slightly frosted. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
