Comprising: A) Flintlock Muff Pistol by Barnett. Screw barrel with stiffleaf border and two London proofs on bottom of breech. Scalloped boxlock action, one side marked "BARNETT" in an oval surrounded by arms, the other marked "LONDON" and decorated en suite. Reinforced cock and frizzen are engraved and feature a sliding thumb half-cock safety with pin to secure frizzen closed. Folding trigger. One-piece figured walnut grip with checkered panels on both sides. Very good condition with a few scattered marks. Barrel and action have been blued, barrel frozen. B) Percussion Boxlock Muff Pistol by Beckwith. Round screw-barrel with stiffleaf border at muzzle, top engraved "BECKWITH/LONDON" in banners. Rounded scalloped boxlock action with chiseled and chased foliate scrolls on both sides and a dolphin head form hammer. One piece checkered walnut bag grip with small engraved silver buttcap. Very good condition, barrel and action retain a grey patina with some marks and freckling. Grip very good with some wear and scattered marks. Barrel frozen. A very nice lot of well-made English muff pistols. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
