Colt New Service Target serial No. 5021 was shipped August 28th, 1900 with blue finish, 7-1/2" barrel in .44 Russian caliber. There is a work order No. 1230 under left grip and factory rework star stamped on right side of trigger guard. Conjecture would leave one to believe that the changes were made at that time but we have no record of this work. It now wears a 6" .38 Special barrel with a special high undercut front sight, adjustable rear sight and flat top frame. Wears beautiful engraving on frame. Has a specially made wide spur checkered target hammer, checkered trigger, checkered backstrap and walnut Fleur-de-Lis diamond checkered grips. Flat top frame has a gold inlay "AG". There is holster wear on cylinder and muzzle but still retains 90% or better of the reapplied factory type blue finish. Fine bore and action. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
