Revolver has matching serial numbers or partial on frame, barrel, cylinder post, trigger guard, backstrap and back of cylinder. Standard features include round barrel, five shot rebated and fluted cylinder, blue and case colored finish, plated straps and one piece walnut grips. Barrel has basically flaked to approximately 25% of the brilliant bright blue with the balance soft patina. Traces of case colors on loading lever. Cylinder is a 50/50 mix of blue and brown soft patina. All original nipples, still retains portions of all safety pins. Right side of frame has 30-40% color; left side has traces, balance grey patina. No visible plating on backstrap, traces on trigger guard. Action is fine. Strong, clean bore. Well cared for and early 1862 police that indexes and locks up like the day it was made. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
