Referred to as the "Third Issue Centerfire Cals". Left side of barrel is simply stamped "OFFICERS MODEL 38" Features six shot, double action, blued finish, flat top frame, high adjustable front sight, target adjustable rear sight, checkered trigger and backstrap, and Colt deep set silver medallion diamond checkered walnut grips. Only a light drag line and a tinge of high muzzle wear. This revolver retains fully 99.9% of its original Colt factory blue finish. Grips are near mint. Indexes perfectly. Near mint bore. These long barrel Officer's Model Targets are extremely popular with both collectors and shooters, especially in such nice, all original condition. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
