Manufactured second year of production. This pre-war .38 is nearly pristine; it does not show any signs of having been fired, no takedown line, no muzzle wear, no high edge wear. There is only a high of wear on the checkered mainspring and a hint of freckles, 99.9% original factory finish. Features the proper tempered two tone .38 Super magazine, checkered wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, short checkered trigger, checkered arched mainspring housing, flat rear sight with beveled corners. Comes in its original box numbered to gun with instructions. Box has a broken apron and some tape repairs but could easily be restored. A phenomenal pre-war that would be nearly impossible to improve on. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
