This US marked standard 1851 Navy has full or partial matching serial number on frame, barrel, brass trigger guard, brass backstrap, wedge, loading lever, cylinder and cylinder base pin. You will find inspector stamps "K" on backstrap, cylinder. Left side of trigger guard stamp visible but not readable and an "L" on left trigger bow. Left side of frame is stamped "US". The roll engraved Naval battle scene appears approximately 85% intact; cylinder has all original nipples, safety pins are worn. Brass has been cleaned. Muzzle of the octagon barrel is rounded from holster use. All legends are strong. All steel parts are basically brown-grey patina. Walnut grips are very good to excellent with chips on both forward toe. A faint cartouche is on the right side of grip. Indexes and locks up correctly. Good, strong rifling with black powder abrasion.
