Manufactured by Deutsche Waffen Und Munitionsfabriken Co. for contract sales to the Portuguese military. This is known as the 1906 M-2. Features include; round barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, V notch rear sight on rear link, thumb safety is unmarked, extractor marked "CARREGADA", center toggle link marked "DWM" in script. Gun retains approximately 85% of the original factory applied rust blue finish with strawed small parts. Checkered walnut grips show some wear. Wood bottom magazine with correct circle with a triangle stamped on it. The Portuguese military bought 5000 of these between 1908 and 1910. They have the M-2 crest above the chamber for Manuel II. Comes with the correct black Portuguese holster. A great representative piece.
