Offered is a fine condition Colt etched panel New Line with five shot, single action spur trigger with London proofs on cylinder and bottom of barrel. Dealer case and marked "COGSWELL & HARRISON 142 NEW BOND ST LONDON" on backstrap as well as the paper dealer label in leather case. Although there is some freckling on the cylinder, the balance of the gun retains 99% of the original factory nickel. Cylinder remains at about 90% with notes to the aging. Etched panel is brilliant and the fire blue on the rod, screws, trigger and hammer is exquisite, virtually all there and as bright as the day they were made. Walnut bird's head grips are excellent. Fine bore and action. This is one of those large bore etched panels with contrasting nickel and fire blue that is so desirable and very seldom seen with the London dealer mark in its original leather carry case. A very scarce and fine example. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
