This is a pre-1900 model with the two line barrel address. First manufactured 1886 with a total of 15,340 made. Has the long 1-9/16" cylinder. Features six shot, double action, blued finish, case colored hammer and trigger, blued trigger guard and Smith & Wesson logo gutta percha grips. Solid 85% overall including straps. Near mint grips. This is a fine, clean homogenous .44-40 revolver with a near mint bore. Action locks up like a vault. One of the nicer examples. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
