When was the last time you saw an original Colt pocket Police when, as first glance, you assumed it was an Italian copy? This revolver is nearly that nice. The round barrel retains approximately 95% of the brilliant high polish Colt factory blue finish with just little storage nicks and some muzzle wear. The case colors on frame, hammer and loading lever are nearly 100%, most still brilliant. The rust blued fluted cylinder retains approximately 90% blue, albeit thinning. Trigger guard and backstrap retain approximately 85% of the original plating. Varnished walnut grips are near new. All nipples are original. You will find full or partial matching serial numbers on frame, barrel, cylinder, trigger guard and backstrap. Revolver indexes and locks up like new. Bore is near mint. This is the nicest example of this revolver that has crossed our table and it would be the center piece of any great Colt collection. From the Jim Linton Collection. CORRECTION: The cylinder was reblued during the period of use, possibly by the Colt factory, and shows wear commensurate with the pistol.
