Both feature four-stage smoothbore steel barrels with swamped faceted muzzles and English proofs on left sides of breeches. Scroll decorated and stiffleaf borders lockplates marked "MACLEOD". Plain steel stocks with ram horn butts. Ball triggers and steel ramrods. Left sides feature steel belt hooks with shaped finials. Probably circa 1790. All steel components retain a freckled grey patina. Some scattered marks from age and small dents and flaws in stocks. One pistol holds on cock only, not half cock, both have strong mechanisms. One cock screw, one ramrod, and one pick in butt are replacements. A very attractive pair of all steel Scottish pistols.
Caliber/Bore
Both .62 Smoothbore
