Built in Hartford and shipped to Great Britain in 1914 at the start of the Great War. Inscribed to Capt. Dickson of the 6th Gordon Highlanders on backstrap. Exhibits high polish commercial finish that Colt was famous for at the time. In typical British fashion it is proof marked just about everywhere. Also typical of British revolvers is the numerous little marks throughout, as it is reported they stored their revolvers in metal bins. Rather than pick this apart part by part, there is 50% blue on trigger guard and grip straps and approximately 80-85% on balance of gun. Colt rubber grips are excellent to near mint. Action indexes and locks up correctly. Strong, clean bore. Comes with a lanyard attached to the swivel.
