Offered is a typical World War II rebuild using parts from assorted World War I surplus or returned pistols. This one features a Remington UMC slide; right side of slide is readable while left side is only partially readable. Left side of frame has the Augusta Arsenal "AA" stamp with original "GHS" inspector stamp of Gilbert Stewart. Frame is Colt manufactured 1918 and features short wide spur checkered hammer, checkered safety, checkered slide stop, flat mainspring housing with loop, Keyes type World War II grips and parkerized barrel stamped "COLT 45 AUTO". Pistol retains 98% or better of the arsenal parkerized finish applied at time of rebuild. Strong bore with light frosting.
