Made with a beautiful case colored receiver, this gun has a matted solid rib with brass front bead. The boldly case colored receiver is stamped on the left side "Matted Rib / Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works / Fitchburg, Mass. U.S.A." Capped pistol gripped buttstock is checkered in three point pattern with Iver Johnson lined HRBP. The Schnabel tipped forearm is checkered in a diamond pattern at center. The trigger guard bow is also case colored. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Barrel retains more than 90% original finish with an area of light thinning near the muzzle. The receiver retains nearly all of its bold original case color. Hammer retains nearly all of its original case color. Stocks are excellent and retain nearly all of their original finish with minor handling marks and craquelure evidenced on the forearm. There is a tiny piece of wood missing on the left side of the action where it meets the frame. These guns were purchased for kids and home protection and are typically beaten to death. This is a most attractive single barrel in outstanding original condition.
