According to "The Parker Story" this is one of 28 Parker PHE Grade 20ga guns made with 30" Parker Steel Barrels. The gun has double triggers, automatic ejectors, and automatic safety. The full length matted rib, with usual barrel markings has well defined "blank space" at muzzle and steel front bead. The gun is a "0" Frame with unstruck barrel weight of 3lbs 4oz. The splinter forend is checkered in standard "P" Grade pattern with Deeley release and engraved steel tip. The action is engraved with light scroll in typical "P" Pattern with wave border pattern. Capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in two point pattern with 13-3/4" LOP over a replacement Parker Bros. DHBP. There is an unengraved shield near the toe. CONDITION: Very good overall. Barrels retain about 80% original blue with considerable thinning at grip area and silvering near muzzles. Action retains strong traces of original case color, perhaps as much as 20%. Buttstock and forearm are very good with scattered scratches and hunting bumps. Stocks have had some finish added for preservation but checkering has not been recut and they have not been sanded. Trigger guard retains about 35% of its original blue on bow. Buttplate fit is fair and unengraved buttplate screws are blued. Bores are excellent with a pit or two ahead of each chamber which would easily clean to brilliant. Mechanics are excellent. This is a rare and very shootable Parker and could be enjoyed by even an advanced collector.
