Offered is a standard late-war production Remington Rand 1911A1. Left side of frame has the crossed cannons and "FJA" inspector stamp with no box for Frank Atwood. There is a proof "P" next to magazine release. Right side of frame is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY MODEL 1911A1 US ARMY" with serial number. Left side of slide is stamped "REMINGTON RAND INC SYRACUSE NY USA". Top of slide has proof "P" near rear sight. Other features include Keyes star stamped brown composite grips, short checkered trigger, serrated arched mainspring housing with loop, checkered hammer with no spur, checkered safety, serrated slide stop. The blued barrel has the "HS" High Standard proof on right lug and "P" on left. Magazine has the "L" stamp for M.S. Little Manufacturing Company and "TYPE 4D". Retains nearly all of the arsenal parkerized finish. Fine bore and action.
