Round barrel with deep flute on top and small silver front sight, flute marked "DUBLIN". Features a hooked breech with a finely engraved tang. Flat lockplate with beveled edges, center marked "CALDERWOOD", features a sliding thumb half-cock safety, a waterproof pan, and a roller frizzen. Tang engraved with cannon and shield. Engraved steel triggerguard and ramrod ferrule, engraved silver buttcap and plain silver barrel key escutcheons and small wrist escutcheon. Walnut stock with checkered panels around grip. Complete with original wooden ramrod with horn tip. Very good condition, barrel and lock retain a smooth spotted grey patina. Original flintlock mechanism is crisp and functioning, cock screw possibly replaced. Stock good with scattered dents and marks from use, one crack stemming from lock retaining screw. A very nice Irish greatcoat pistol! From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
