The Model 686 is referred to as the "686 Distinguished Combat Magnum Plus Seven Shot". It is a seven shot, double action, round butt, stainless L frame target model that was first manufactured in 1996. The 686-6 was first manufactured in 2002 for one year only. This is an interesting model in that it has a fluted barrel, angular lug, luminescent front sight, target adjustable rear sight and Smith & Wesson logo black rubber grips. Gun is in near new condition inside and out; never fired. Comes in the original plastic carry case.
