The left side of frame is stamped U.S. Property with eagle head inspector stamp. Left side of slide has the 1913 patent date with pony in center. Right side of slide is stamped Model 1911 of U.S. Army. Has the flat top rear side with beveled corners. Slide has seen little use with slide muzzle wear and just some patches of brown patina from simple flaking and contact with leather. On the frame, the mainspring housing shows flaking while the front grip strap shows some minor age freckling and there are some minor scratches by takedown lever, otherwise 90%+ factory blue finish. The blued barrel has a strong rifle bore and is stamped with the parallel PH stamp visable through port. All correct circa 1918 parts to include: flat top rear sight with beveled corners, long smooth trigger, checkered wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, smooth mainspring housing with loop, diamond checkered walnut grips. Sports a two tone tempered pinned base magazine. Far above average example of late war pistol.
